Windows 11's File Explorer Is Now Faster at Deleting Large Files

The improvement is part of a broader set of File Explorer refinements currently undergoing testing with Windows Insiders before a general release.
File Explorer now handles file deletion routines significantly more efficiently in scenarios involving large and fragmented datasets.
Users who regularly handle sizable video files, virtual disk images, or massive databases have long faced sluggish delete operations, particularly when files are scattered across storage media in non-contiguous blocks.
This update directly optimizes the underlying file system routines to eliminate those deletion bottlenecks.
